TVS Motor Co. report zero sales in domestic market April due to corona

Hosur, May 2 (UNI) Two and three-wheeler major TVS Motor Company reported zero sales in the domestic market in the month of April due to the coronavirus pandemic.

A company release here today said as a responsible corporate, the company was committed to stand united with the Government and the people in their sustained efforts to overcome the COVID-19 pandemic.

Stating that company’s plants were closed since March 23 in line with the Union Government's guidelines, it said during the month of April, the company had zero sales in the domestic market.

Following resumption of operations at the Chennai Port Trust, 8,134 two-wheelers and 1,506 three-wheelers were shipped utilising the stocks from March while ensuring utmost safety.

The company was gearing up to restart its operations as per the state government guidelines and was undertaking strong measures to safeguard the health of the employees.

''We are optimistic about the potential demand for personal mobility once things normalise'', it said.
