Toyota Kirloskar Motor further scales-up its “Health & Hygiene” initiatives

Kolkata, Jan 21 (IBNS): In line with the continuous community development initiatives undertaken, Toyota Kirloskar Motor today handed over a Hi-Tech Ambulance to NGO - Hanuman & Ganesh Mandir Sanstha [Talashet] which specializes in health care services conducting eye camps, free eye related surgery and medical camps.

The ambulance aims to provide the health care and emergency services, benefitting regions of Indapur & Mangaon under Raigad district in Maharashtra.

The Hi-tech ambulance is a state-of-the-art trauma ambulance which can further be customized with multiple options acting as an intensive care unit. Presently, in-built with In-folding stretcher cum trolley and Storage trolley serves as a vital connect for saving the lives of critical victims during their transit to hospital under emergencies.

The handover ceremony witnessed the gracious presence of Chief Guest, Anant Geete - Union Cabinet Minister for Heavy Industries and Public Sector Enterprises – Government of India, along with the senior management representation by Vikram S. Kirloskar, Vice Chairman of Toyota Kirloskar Motor.

Speaking at the occasion, Anant Geete, Union Cabinet Minister for Heavy Industries and Public Sector Enterprises – Government of India, said, “It is heartening to see Toyota Kirloskar Motor engaging in various community development initiatives which are well thought of programs with multi-fold focus areas, enriching the lives’ of people in our society.We are aware that the ‘Golden hour’ is the most critical time in saving lives and I see this initiative as a great move by Toyota Kirloskar Motor towards reducing the road accident fatalities. This project is undertaken with an objective to cater to the medical requirements of the inaccessible villages which is also equipped to provide basic health care services as a sustainable measure alongside addressing trauma cases.I believe such focused social cause will ensure timely action to save many lives on the Goa-Mumbai expressway during the road emergencies. I urge more corporates to come forward, in support of our societal development in every possible way through their social interventions with an integrated approach.”                                                                                                                                                                                 

Commenting on this initiative, Vikram S. Kirloskar, Vice Chairman - Toyota Kirloskar Motor said, “It has been Toyota’s continuous endeavor to enrich the community we live in, with our CSR initiatives by understanding and catering to the critical needs of the neighboring community. Access to quality and affordable healthcare service for everyone is of paramount importance and we at Toyota hope that this mobile trauma center will address the immediate and critical needs of the community members.

The fully equipped ambulance would be able to provide basic medical aid while the road accident victims are safely transported to the nearest hospital, benefiting peoples’ lives and their families during the road emergencies.

The Traveler Trauma Ambulance [TTA] is a hi-tech ambulance with an in-built Intensive Care Unit that can be customized based on medical requirements, providing access to defibrillator, ventilator, oxygen cum air cylinder storage trolley which are critical needs during emergencies.
