SMS, voice messages restored on pre-paid mobiles in J&K UT, says Govt

Jammu/UNI: Jammu and Kashmir Government on Saturday said SMS and voice message services have been restored on pre-paid mobiles in the Union Territory while 2G internet facility in two districts of Kashmir valley.

"2G internet services shall be restored in Kupwara and Bandipora districts of Kashmir," Kansal here told reporters.

He further added that voice and SMS facility is also restored for prepaid mobile connections in J&K.

However, mobile internet shall remain suspended in Budgam, Ganderbal, Baramulla, Srinagar, Kulgam, Anantnag, Shopian and Pulwama, he added.

Meanwhile, the 2G internet facility will allowed only to access limited websites.
