Sensex up by 78 pts

Mumbai, Mar 5 (UNI) The benchmark index of Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Tuesday moved up by 78 points to open at 36,141.07 as buying was seen across the board.

The Nifty of National Stock Exchange (NSE) too rose by 27.65 points to 10,891.15.

The sensex registered intra day high and low at 36,154.22 and 35,926.94 respectively.

The Nifty recorded intra day high and low at 10,895.75 and 10,864.85 points respectively.

The gainers were Tata Motors by 8.91 pc to Rs 196.15, Tata Motors DVR by 7.32 pc to Rs 96.75, HeroMoto Corp by 2.85 pc to Rs 2749.95 and NTPC by 1.75 pc to Rs 145.50.

The losers were L & T by 1.08 pc to Rs 1294.50, Infosys by 0.87 pc to Rs 734.70, Hind Unilever by 0.48 pc to Rs 1726.70 and HDFC by 0.41 pc to Rs 1851.80.
