Sensex falls 434.31 pts after winning run for last six sessions

Snapping a winning streak of the last six sessions ' the BSE Sensex tanked 434.31 pts to settle at 72,623.09 as selling was seen in Utilities, Oil and Gas stocks.

The National Stock Exchange (NSE) fell 141.90 pts at 22,055.05.

The NSE registered days high and low at 22,249.40 and 21'997.95 pts respectively.

The Sensex opened at 73,267.48' rising 210 pts.it was remained days high. Later' it was slipped 393 pts at 72,450.56, days low before closing at 72,623.09' sliding 434.31 pts from its previous close.

The sticks that dragged the market were Utilities by 2.10 pc followed by Oil and Gas by 1.78 pc, Power by 1.66 pc and Energy by 1.59 pc.

The Mid Cap easd 1.27 pc and Small Cap by 0.84 pc.

In 30 scrips, 10 advanced while 20 declined.

The losers were NTPC by 2.85 pc to Rs 335.80, Power by 2.80 pc to Rs 279.90, Wipro by 2.03 pc to Rs 521, Infosy by 1.87 pc to Rs 1652.70 and HCL Technology by 1.72 pc to Rs 1634.20.

The gainers were Tata Steel by 2.09 pc to Rs 144, SBI by 1.57 pc to Rs 772, JSW Steel by 0.62 pc to Rs 825.65 and IndusInd bank by 0.51 pc to Rs 1512.05.
