SBI cautions customers against online banking frauds as digital payments grow amid Covid-19
Mumbai/IBNS: India's largest lender State Bank of India has cautioned its customers against online banking frauds as more and more people are using digital payments and online banking amid the coronavirus pandemic.
SBI on Monday shared a short video clip on its Twitter handle with tips to stay safe while making online transactions.
The bank has warned its users that the financial sector has always been a target of cyber criminals.
The video clip alerts customers of warning signals that could lead to online banking frauds.
If you have received calls, emails and text messages seeking your personal information such as your account number, password or requesting you to make an urgent payment.
If your bank account statement shows transactions you did not perform.
If you shared your personal information or bank account specific information with someone.
"Protect yourself from cyber-criminals by staying alert and informed. Here’s what you can do to stay safe," SBI tweeted along with the video.

In the post SBI tells its customers to report such cases online cyber frauds to National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal or to the local police authorities.
The bank has also urged its customers not to ignore such instances.
