New Delhi: Tata Consultancy Services, a leading global IT services, consulting, and business solutions organization, as a part of its TCS Fit4life initiative successfully celebrated  first-of-its-kind virtual running event ‘Run as  #OneTCS’ on the occasion of Global Running Day.

Over 50,000 associates of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) have pledged and actively participated in the event as part of Global Running Day celebrations held on 3rd June. This year, Global Running Day 2020 was held digitally.

As a part of the event, TCS associates from around the world pledged for a run, walk, ride or do a cardio workout, indoors or outdoors (where it is safe for them and their family).

TCSers together pledged to cover 128,000+ kilometers through this event, truly exhibiting the spirit of #OneTCS. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, physical Global Running Day events may be paused, but it’s important that we all keep active in a safe and responsible way.

Milind Lakkad, EVP & CHRO, TCS along with other TCSers pledged and celebrated first-of-its-kind Virtual Global Running Day.

"At TCS, we have made fitness a top priority. During these prevailing times, focus on self and family health is vital and if utmost importance," Lakkad said.

"In the new normal we might be separated by a pandemic, but today we run as #OneTCS. I hope all of you can inculcate all we have learnt in this initiative and apply it to your lives. Onwards and upwards!" said Milind Lakkad said.
