Mercedes-Benz unveils

Kolkata, Aug 22(IBNS): Luxury car maker Mercedes-Benz on Monday launched AMG GT R, the "fastest car globally" with a top speed of 318 km/h, in India.

The company also launched the AMG GT Roadster in the country.

The GT Roadster is priced at INR 2.19 crore onwards and the AMG GT R is priced at INR 2.23 crore onwards (prices ex-showroom, all India)

The AMG GT R, which can race 0-100 km/h in a 3.6 seconds, houses a 4.0-litre V8 bi-turbo engine producing 585 hp @ 6250 rpm and 700 Nm @ 1900-5500 rpm.

The AMG GT Roadster is powered by the 4.0-litre V8 bi-turbo engine developing 476 hp @ 6000rpm and 630 Nm @ 1700-5000rpm with a top speed of 302 km/h and can race from 0-100km/h in 4 seconds.

We are confident that these two sensational sports cars will entice Mercedes-AMG enthusiasts in India and redefine the performance motoring segment altogether.”

Presently Mercedes-Benz India has 12 AMG models available across the country.
