J&K: Greenlam Industries plans to invest Rs 950 crores

Srinagar/IBNS: Greenlam Industries has announced that the company will invest Rs 950 crore to foray into Plywood and Particle Board business.

The proposed investment will come over the next two to three years for setting up Greenfield manufacturing projects  India, a senior company official said.

“Being a pioneer in the decorative surfacing solutions, the company offers products ranging from decorative laminates, and compact laminates," he said.

Greenlam has decided on expanding its portfolio by venturing into two adjacent categories- plywood and particle board and also setting up a third laminate plant.

"This expansion will position Greenlam from a decorative surfacing company to a leading integrated wood panel player,” he added.
