Indian benchmark indices close marginally higher on Tuesday
Mumbai, Aug 22 (IBNS): The Indian market closed on positive note on Tuesday but brought little cheer as the benchmark indices were only marginally higher, according to media reports.
The BSE Sensex was up 33.00 points at 31291.85 and NSE Nifty was up by 11.20 points at 9765.55.
Top gainers were Dr Reddy's Labs, BPCL, Lupin, Sun Pharma, Tech Mahindra, ONGC and Axis Bank while NTPC, Hero Motocorp, Eicher Motors, Bajaj Auto, Bank of Baroda, TCS, Idea Cellular and L&T declined.
