ICICI Bank organises 41 coin exchange melas in Madurai and nearby towns

Madurai, Aug 4 (IBNS): ICICI Bank a private sector bank, organised 41 coin exchange melas in the first quarter of this fiscal (April - June 2017) at its branches at Madurai as well as neighbouring towns.

Some of these melas were organised at the Bank’s various branches in Madurai namely North Chitrai Street, Anna Nagar, South Masi Street and Subramanipuram.

The other ones were held at branches in neighbouring towns like VOC Street at Tirunelveli Town; Old Salai Street at Ramanathapuram; North Car Street at Sankarankovil; Mattappa Street at Tenkasi; Bazaar Street at Kothamangalam; Big Bazaar Street at Singampunari; Pillayar Koil Street at Devipattinam; Nirvagasabhai East Street at Panaikulam; Market Street at Kottaiyur; Panchayat Office Road at Kandanur; Old Bus Stand at Thuckalay; Kavalstalam at Kulasekaram; Eswara Koil Street at Periyakulam; Vetturnimadam & Kottar at Nagercoil; East Coast Road at Keelakarai; Dindigul Main Road at Oddanchatram; Main Road at Samayanallur and Gandhi Road at Sivagangai.

ICICI Bank periodically organises coin exchange melas to offer a free facility of exchanging notes with coins to the general public. These are much-awaited events that receive an overwhelming response from people from all walks of life. Anyone can avail of this facility free of cost.

These coin melas saw huge public participation where coins and fresh currency worth around Rs. 98.53 lakhs were exchanged in the denomination of coins in Rs.5, Rs.2 and Re.1. along with the fresh currency of Rs.10, Rs.20, Rs.50 and Rs.100

ICICI Bank has 4,852 branches and 13,780 ATMs spread across the country as on June 30, 2017. It has over 500 branches and over 1500 ATMs in Tamilnadu, making it to the largest branch network & ATM network among private sector banks in the state.
