GIA, GJF to host 2nd annual leadership summit in Kolkata

Kolkata, Apr 10 (IBNS): Gemological Institute of America (GIA) and the All India Gems & Jewellery Trade Federation (GJF) will host the second annual leadership Summit to inspire members of the Indian gems and jewellery industry in Kolkata.

 

The summit, to be held on Apr 13, will feature prominent speakers including Bengali filmmaker Ashoke Viswanathan, advertising executive Abeer Chakravarty and motivational speaker Vijay Batra.

Participants from across the gems and jewellery industry in West Bengal and neighbouring regions are invited to attend the event, which offers jewellers the opportunity to share experiences, network and hear from successful personalities in other industries.

“Our industry needs a platform like this to fuel further growth, and we are thankful for GIA’s support in organizing this event.We believe that experts from other industries will enrich the experience for the participants,”said Suvro Chandra, GJF’s regional chairman in Kolkata.

“Our industry’s dynamic environmentmeans that market requirements change constantly. To stay ahead of the tide, it is important that leaders, entrepreneurs and professionals in the gem and jewellery industry learn from and are inspired by successes in other industries,” added Nirupa Bhatt, managing director of GIA in India and the Middle East.
