Crude oil price of Indian Basket increases

New Delhi, Mar 31 (IBNS): The international crude oil price of Indian Basket as published on Monday by Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas went up to US$ 105.30 per barrel (bbl) on 28.03.2014.

"This was higher than the price of US$ 104.90 per bbl on previous trading day of 27.03.2014," read a government statement.

"In rupee terms also, the price of Indian Basket crude oil rose in tandem to Rs 6328.53 per bbl on 28.03.2014 as compared to Rs 6307.64 per bbl on 27.03.2014. This was due to increase in price in dollar terms. Rupee closed slightly stronger at Rs 60.10 per US$ on 28.03.2014 as against Rs 60.13 per US$ on previous trading of 27.03.2014," it said.
