Blue Star expands commercial refrigeration portfolio for summer 2025, covers diverse industries
Kolkata/IBNS: Blue Star Ltd on Saturday announced expansion in its commercial refrigeration business with a wide range of products for the summer of 2025.
The portfolio includes deep freezers, storage water coolers, bottled water dispensers, visi coolers/freezers, cold rooms and a range of other refrigeration products to provide complete solutions across various industries.

In a press conference, Blue Star said the extensive range of commercial refrigeration products has been specifically designed to meet diverse refrigeration needs and capitalise on the rising opportunities in the country.
Deep Freezers
The company said its deep freezers offer cooling performance down to -26°C, with convertible cooling modes that switch between cooler and freezer, catering to diverse industries like dairy, ice cream, and supermarkets. Capacities range from 60L to 600L, starting at Rs 16,000.
Storage Water Coolers
Equipped with a sturdy compressor for fast cooling, food-grade stainless steel inner tanks, and a large water tray to prevent splashing, Blue Star's storage water coolers offer reliable chilled water solutions for offices, schools, and commercial spaces. Capacities range from 15L to 120L.
Bottled Water Dispenser
Bottled water dispensers feature hot, cold, and normal water dispensing, with a child-lock on the hot water faucet for safety and bottom-loading options for easy jar replacement without heavy lifting.
Visi Coolers/Freezers
Blue Star's visi coolers and freezers ensure uniform cooling and clear visibility for retail outlets and restaurants, featuring interior LED lights, double-glazed tempered glass doors with Low-E insulation, and a backlit canopy for brand visibility. Capacities range from 50L to 1200L.
Cold Rooms
Cold rooms come with pre-engineered PUF insulated panels, inverter-based refrigeration units, and IoT systems, offering efficient cold chain solutions for warehousing, logistics, and temperature-sensitive industries.
Other Refrigeration Products
Blue Star also offers kitchen refrigeration solutions like reach-in chillers, blast freezers, undercounters, and saladettes, along with healthcare refrigeration for medical storage, and supermarket retail refrigeration with energy-saving night curtains and multiplexing options.
Emphasising its commitment to the ‘Make in India, Make for the Globe’, Blue Star said its complete scale of deep freezers and water coolers are manufactured at state-of-the-art plants in Wada and Ahmedabad.
Managing Director B Thiagarajan said, “The commercial refrigeration industry is witnessing strong growth, driven by demand from Ice Cream OEMs, QSR chains, HoReCa sector, Quick Commerce, Food Retail and Healthcare. The growing trend of outside-the-home consumption, especially in perishable foods, is a major growth driver.”
With a focus on energy efficiency and sustainability, Blue Star is using low-GWP refrigerants and eco-friendly insulation blowing agents.
The company has invested in R&D set-up, including NABL-accredited deep freezer testing labs and AHRI-certified testing labs and filed numerous patents and design registration.
