New Delhi, Apr 30 (IBNS): After successfully launching the ICONIA W4, Acer India, the country’s leading PC vendor, has introduced its latest 3G enabled ICONIA W4 tablet on social networking site Facebook.

The tablet is being launched in India ahead of other countries, following the remarkable response received by its predecessor in the region.

Launching the tablet on Facebook is an innovative first-of-its kind initiative by the company.

Recently Acer’s Facebook page recorded a million fans, an important milestone in its social media journey. To celebrate this accomplishment and reward the company’s loyal fan base, the company has introduced a pre-book offer for its fans where they can pre-book their favorite tablet and avail a special offer worth Rs. 2999.

With the 64GB tablet, consumers can take home the stylish crunch cover worth Rs. 2999 absolutely free.

The Windows 8.1 powered tablet, ICONIA W4 3G comes with the Generation Intel Atom Quad Core processor, offering faster tablet performance as well as battery life up to 10 hours for web browsing and up to 8 hours for video playback.

Packed with pre-installed Microsoft Office Home and Student edition 2013, the tablet also features the IPS and Zero Air Gap technologies that provide enhanced clarity and brightness.

“The world of computing is brimming with newer devices spurred by the consumer need for constant connectivity. Our recently launched ICONIA W4 has redefined industry norms by becoming the device-of-choice for a wide cross-section of consumers. Constantly raising the bar for technological excellence, we bring to you the 3G version of our latest tablet, the ICONIA W4. The tablet is a fully powered, pocket-sized office, and will comprehensively address the consumer requirements for mobile productivity and immersive entertainment”, said Harish Kohli, Managing Director, Acer India.

Announcing the launch, Rajendran, Chief Marketing Officer, Acer India, said, “Consumers are travelling, working on their latest presentations, and talking to their friends, often all at the same time. This is the raison d'être for the tremendous success of our portable computing devices, the ICONIA W4 being the most recent one. Expanding our tablet portfolio, we are extremely pleased to introduce the 3G variant of the ICONIA W4 tablet. 3G capability means three times more productivity and entertainment, and the ICONIA W4 3G packs even more power to this incredibly popular device.”
