Yes Bank scam: Bombay High Court grants bail to Wadhawan brothers

Mumbai/UNI: The Bombay High Court on Thursday granted bail to Wadhawan brothers--Kapil and Dheeraj--in the multi-crore Yes Bank scam.

The court accepted the plea reasoning that the Enforcement Directorate has failed to file the chargesheet in the timeframe of two months.

The Dewan Housing Finance Corporation Ltd promoters, Wadhawan brothers, were given the legal relief albeit with riders.

Justice Bharati Dangre directed them to furnish surety of Rs one lakh and also surrender their passports.

Even though they have secured the bail, they will remain in jail as they are involved in another case being probed by the CBI.
