Woman, paramour arrested for husband's murder in Uttar Pradesh

A woman, along with her paramour, was arrested for her husband's murder in Baraut area of Baghpat district here in Uttar Pradesh on Sunday, a police officer said here.

Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Narendra Pratap Singh said Baraut police received information that the body of a man was lying in a closed factory near Badka railway underpass.

"The senior officer reached the spot and the body was identified as that of Imran (35), a resident of Kashiram colony," he said.

He said that the deceased's brother Irfan told police that Imran's wife was having an illicit affair with one Hashim.

"He alleged that on the insistence of Imran's wife Hashim killed the victim on Saturday and later dumped his body in the closed factory," he said.

The ASP said that on the complaint of the deceased's brother a case of murder was lodged at Baraut police station after which the accused were arrested on Sunday.
