White House releases images, video on Obama's India visit

Washington, Jan 29 (IBNS): The White House has released images and videos highlighting the key issues of US President Barack Obama's recent trip to India last week.

A light hearted video report has also been posted on the White House website.

The video has been anchored by actor and former Obama administration official Kal Penn.

The report in which the photos and videos are released s titled "Chalein saath saath; forward together we go -- India-US Delhi Declaration of Friendship".

In the report, the White House said: "President Obama and the First Lady traveled to India this week -- their first time visting the South Asian nation since Prime Minister Narendra Modi was sworn in on May 26, 2014. America and India are true global partners in the work of strengthening economies and strong democracies. That is why the President is the first to have visited India twice while in office. "

In the light-hearted video featuring Penn, the actor is seen telling an audio-rickshaw driver at the end of the trip: " "Chalo hum Saudi Arabia chalenge." (Let's go to Saudi Arabia).

Obama became the first US president to take part in the Republic Day parade of India at the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
