Western Army Commander calls on Lieutenant Governor of Delhi

New Delhi, Aug 5 (IBNS) Lieutenant General Kamaljit Singh, who has recently taken over the reins of Western Command called upon the Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung at the latter’s residence on Wednesday.

After  exchange  of  pleasantries  the  General Officer   sought  the  assistance  of  the  office  of  the  Lieutenant   Governor  in  various  ongoing endeavors of the Army including welfare related activities.

"General Officer also reiterated the objectives of the Army towards the development of Delhi Cantonment and areas under management of the Army," a government statement said on Tuesday.

He expressed his gratitude to the Lieutenant   Governor for his continued and positive approach towards the welfare of serving troops, retired soldier and their family members.
