Phagwara/UNI: Various Valmiki and Mazhabi Sikh organisations have given 'Bharat Bandh' call on October 10 to protest against the barbaric killing of young girl in Uttar Pradesh.

A decision to this effect was taken in a meeting held at the residence of Punjab Agro Industries Corporation Chairman Joginder Singh Mann here. The meeting was attended by Sant Samaj Chairman Baba Pargat Dass (Rahimpur), BHAVADAS National President Vijay Danav, All India Rangretta Dal president Joginder Singh Tiger, Chaudhary Yashpal, Chandan Grewal, Subash Sondhi, Mohan Lal Pehalwan, Harbhajan Suman and several other community leaders.

In the meeting, presided over by Baba Pargat Dass, it was unanimously decided that on October 10 a complete bandh would be observed across the country in protest against the brutal murder of young girl and to seek justice for her.

The leaders unequivocally said that increasing atrocities against the underprivileged and weaker sections of society in Uttar Pradesh has exposed the anti-poor and cruel face of the BJP led government in the state. They said that the Uttar Pradesh government was allegedly shielding the culprits of the heinous crime which has shocked the entire country.

They said that now the Yogi government was ‘murdering the democracy’ by suppressing voice against this injustice.
They said that the duo of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was hell bent on depriving the Scheduled Caste community of their basic fundamental rights.

Depriving justice to the family of young girl is a heinous crime and community would not tolerate any sort of injustice with the family.

The leaders said that the bandh would be completely peaceful and was aimed at securing justice for the young girl. They also solicited fulsome support and cooperation from the people for this noble cause.
