Uttar Pradesh: Four members of a family killed in road mishap

Fatehpur, Apr 6 (UNI) Four members of a family were killed and a woman seriously injured when a speeding car rammed into a stationary truck in the Khaga area in this district of Uttar Pradesh, police sources said on Saturday.

Sources told media, "Ram Kishan, a resident of Chaura Kher town in the Khaga area, had travelled to Kanpur for his son Ashu's treatment with his family. They were returning to their home on Friday night in a car when their vehicle hit a truck parked on the roadside near Thariyav on a national highway."

The injured have been identified as Ram Kishan (39), his wife Radha Devi (35), two-year-old son Ashu and brother Santosh (34).

The deceased Santosh's wife was critically injured in the the accident who was rushed to a hospital.

Following the accident, traffic was disrupted at the lane going towards Allahabad.
