Uttar Pradesh: Couple found dead on railway track

Sultanpur, May 27 (UNI) The bodies of an unidentified couple were found on a railway track in the Akhandnagar area of this district in Uttar Pradesh on Monday.

Police sources said that village residents spotted the bodies of couple at the Lucknow-Varanasi via Faizabad rail-block near the Meerpur Gram Panchayat. The locals then intimated the police.

Police, while trying to establish the identities of the couple, have sent the bodies for postmortem.

According to the local people, the couple could have died after being run over by Kisan Express.

Meanwhile, police is trying to locate the families of the deceased by gathering information from the mobile phones which were recovered from their bodies.
