Uttar Pradesh: 3 killed in group clash over property in Jaunpur

Jaunpur/UNI: Three people , including two brothers , were killed and nine injured in a group clash over a property dispute at Ferozapur village under Khutan police station area on Sunday.

Superintendent of police (SP) Ashok Kumar said here that both the groups used lathis and other lethal weapons to hit each others in which 15 people were injured.

He said all the injured were rushed to the CHC where three people were declared dead while three are in critical stage. Two people who were at loggerheads over the piece of land were killed in the clash.

The SP said six people have been arrested so far after registering a case .

According to the incident, there was a land dispute between Ramchander Paswan and his neighbour Ram Khelawan Paswan. On August 17 last, on the orders of the high court, the local revenue officials made the demarcation of the land.

But on Sunday, Ramchander Paswan started construction on the disputed land which irked the other party leading to the clash.

In the clash, Ramchander( 60) and his brother Baijnath(45), of one side were killed while on the other side Ramkhelawan( 60) too was killed.

One of the critically injured Jiyalal(48) was rushed to the hospital in Varanasi.
