US cop charged of assaulting Indian man

Washington, Feb 13 (IBNS): A US cop has been charged of assaulting a 57-year-old Indian man, which left him partially paralysed.
According to reports, the cop has been arrested and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) will investigate the case.
 
Footage from police cameras showed that the 57-year-old, named Sureshbhai Patel had indulged in a confrontation with two officers in an Alabama suburb.
 
Patel, who cannot speak English, tried to walk away from the officers, who eventually shove him to the ground.
 
One officer has been arrested following the incident.
 
Larry Muncey, the Madison City Chief of Police, accused of the alleged assault, has also apologised to Patel.
