UP govt to extend all help to farmers: Yogi Adityanath

| @indiablooms | Oct 31, 2020, at 01:21 am

Lucknow/UNI: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the main priority of the government is to extend all help to the farmers so that they can sell their produce at remunerative prices.

In a high-level meeting held at his residence here on Friday, the CM said that farmers’ welfare is on the top of the agenda of his governance.

“This government is committed to provide competitive prices for the farm produce. Similarly, this government will ensure that people get the essential commodities at reasonable prices,” Adityanath said.

He said that the government has set up purchase centres for paddy and corn. Officials should ensure that no farmer sells his produce at less than the MSP.

“The middlemen should not exploit the farmers and in case of any complaint the officials should be taken to task,” he said.

CM directed the Agriculture Production Commissioner (APC) to take action against hoarders so that people could get pulses, food grains and other commodities cheap.
