UP Governor Anandiben Patel ties rakhi to CM Yogi

Lucknow, Aug 15 (UNI): As a gesture of love and bond between brothers and sisters to mark Raksha Bandhan, Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel on Thursday tied Rakhi to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath here.

Later, the chief minister went to Sainik school in the state capital where around 25 girl students tied rakhi to Yogi.

While showing people the rakhi tied in his right hand Chief Minister said, "Never in the past, I had such a large number of rakhi on my hand."

On the occasion he said that the concerned officials should bring a proposal before the government to double the capacity of the Sainik school from around 400 to 1000.

Besides they should also bring proposal to set up the second sainik school somewhere in other parts of the state.

Hailing of setting up this sainik school in Lucknow by former UP CM Sampurnanand , he said now this school is giving training to our best soldiers.

"It is always said that better the training of the soldiers and army officers, the least blood would come out in the war," he said while remembering Paramveer Chakra awarded late Manoj Pandey, who was the alumni of this Sainik school .

The UP government had announced to provide free bus travel to women on government buses on Thursday to mark the occasion of Rakshabandhan.
