UP: Bulandshahr SSP suspended for corruption charges

Lucknow, Aug 4 (UNI) The Uttar Pradesh government suspended a senior Bulandshahr district Superintendent of Police (SSP), N Kolanchi, citing alleged irregularity in postings of Station House Officer (SHOs) in the district, Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) Avnish Awasthi said here on Sunday.

The DGP O P Singh was probing the alleged irregularity in the appointment of SHOs.

He said that during the review of law and order situation by the state Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the irregularities were found in the appointment of SHOs in the district. Therefore, the probe was ordered.

"Two SHOs were appointed within a week, while another was transferred in 33 days," Awasthi said, added that on late Saturday night, the action was taken on a report given by the DGP.

Meanwhile, SSP Chandauli, Santosh Kumar Singh has been posted as the new SSP of Description

Bulandshahr, while commandant SDRF Hemant Kutiyal will be the new SP of Chandauli.
