| @indiablooms | Jul 03, 2022, at 05:05 am

Guwahati/IBNS: Troops of Rupai Battalion of Red Shield Division under the aegis of Spear Corps, on specific input regarding the presence of five to six ULFA(I) armed cadres, launched a joint operation with Assam Police in area Dahpathar, Tinsukia district, Upper Assam on Friday.

The swift action resulted in the neutralisation of a hardcore active cadre namely SS Sgt Gyan Asom, a member of the operational group of ULFA(I).

A major strike against security forces was believed to be averted as a large quantity of war-like stores for making and detonating IEDs have been recovered.

Search for other cadres of the group is in progress.
