Two ULFA(I) militants apprehended in Assam

Guwahati, July 16 (IBNS): Security forces on Thursday apprehended two ultras of United Liberation Front of Asom (Independent) from Assam's Chirang district and recovered huge cache of arms and ammunition, police said.

According to reports, police and CRPF jointly launched operation at Dongagaon area under Bijni police station in the BTAD district and nabbed the militants.

The nabbed militants were identified as Giren Roy and Dipu Roy.

The security forces recovered one AK-56 rifle, three magazines, 114 rounds live ammunition, Rs 3,42,000 cash in possession from them.
