Two IEDs, explosives recovered in Assam

Guwahati, July 9 (IBNS): Security forces on Thursday recovered two powerful Improvised Explosive Device (IEDs) and huge cache of explosives from a remote village in Assam's Sonitpur district along with Arunachal Pradesh border, police said.

According to reports, acting on a tip-off, police and army had launched search operation at Bortola village under Dhekiajuli police station in the northern Assam district and recovered two IED’s and explosive suspected belongs to NDFB(S).

Security forces recovered 19 detonators, 100 gelatin sticks and 150 meters fuse wire.
