Truck accident near Gujarat's Vadodara kills 10, injures 16

Vadodara/IBNS: An accident involving two trucks near Gujarat's Vadodara killed 10 people and injured 16 others in the wee hours on Wednesday, media reports said.

The accident occurred when a mini truck rammed into another truck.

All 26 people, who have died or injured, were travelling in the mini truck.

The deceased were from Surat, a city of Gujarat.

Mourning the loss of lives, Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted, "Saddened by the accident in Vadodara. My thoughts are with those who lost their loved ones. Praying that the injured recover soon. The administration is providing all possible assistance at the site of the accident."

Gujarat Chief MInister Vijay Rupani tweeted, "Saddened by the loss of lives due to a road accident near Vadodara. Instructed officials to do needful. May those who have been injured recover at the earliest. I pray for the departed souls. Om Shanti..."
