Agartala, May 29 (UNI) A Division Bench of High Court of Tripura, comprising Chief Justice Sanjay Karol and Justice Arindam Lodh, has asked the state government to utilize the property of Rose Valley, whichever has been attached so far, for public service instead of demolishing it.

Hearing the two petitions filed by Agartala Municipal Corporation and state government against Rose Valley separately regarding their property, the court asked the state government to decide on attachment of properties of Rose Valley and make use of it. Rose Valley owns 22 properties in the state.

Recently, the state government attached properties worth rupees crores in connection with Rose Valley chit fund scam. Police registered cases under the money laundering prevention act against the chairman and managing director of the company. The next hearing is fixed on June 19.

As per poll promise, BJP-IPFT government referred 74 cases on chit fund scams, running into hundreds of crores, to the CBI. The 74 cases, which were being investigated by a Special Investigation Team (SIT), had been referred to the Central probe agency. The central investigative agency has already agreed to investigate 11 cases.
