TMC leader shot dead by unknown men in north Kolkata

Kolkata, June 5  (IBNS): A Trinamool Congress leader was shot dead by unknown gunmen at Nimta area in north Kolkata on Tuesday.

The deceased person was identified as Nirmal Kundu.

The incident occurred at around 7.30 pm.

The footage of the incident was captured on CCTV.

In the footage of the CCTV, one could see the attackers escaping from the place on a bike after shooting the man.

  The TMC leader died on the way to the hospital, reports said.

Kundu was the head of the TMC party unit in ward number 6 of the North Dum Dum civic body.
