Kolkata/IBNS: Three persons, including father, mother and maid of Kolkata's second Covid-19 infected youth, have tested positive for COVID 19, rising the case count in West Bengal to seven, officials said on Sunday evening.

According reports, those three persons have been under surveillance in a quarantine centre at Rajarhat since the youth was found Covid 19 infected.

Earlier on Mar 20, a 22-year-old resident of south Kolkata's Ballygunj area, who recently returned from London, tested positive for Covid19, following which he was admitted to the isolation ward of Beliaghata ID hospital while his family members and maid were shifted to a quarantine centre.

Presently, Beliaghata ID is treating first three Covid-19 cases of the state while another 57-year-old coronavirus infected patient has been undergoing treatment in a serious condition under ventilation support at privately-run AMRI hospital in Salt Lake.

India has reported seven coronavirus infection related deaths so far.

The virus first originated from China's Wuhan region and then spread to over 150 countries across the globe.
