Three jawans of Assam Rifles martyred in Manipur

Imphal/IBNS: Three jawans of four Assam Rifles have attained martyrdom while fighting the insurgent groups along the Indo-Myanmar border in Manipur's Chandel district.

The jawans were martyred at 6:30 pm on Wednesday.

The jawans have been identified as Pranay Kalita, Ratan Salam and Methna Konyak.

The rest of the jawans, who have sustained minor injuries, were shifted to hospital.

The injured have been identified as Sub S Hoakip, Hav Nitul Sharma, Rfn Vivekanan, Rfn Sandeek Kr and Sepoy Anis Kr (Army).
