Terror attacks a clarion call for believers in humanity to unite: Swaraj
"The events of the last two days were on two different continents; in different hemispheres; on our two opposite flanks. While seemingly disparate, both are manifestations of the darkening shadow of terrorism," Swaraj told the Parliament.
" Both these developments, taken together, are a clarion call for all those who believe in humanity to join hands to decisively and comprehensively defeat terrorism. On our part, India stands ready to play our role in this global endeavour," she said.
Australia and Pakistan witnessed to deadly terrorist attacks over the past two days.
Taliban militants killed 141 people, including 132 school children, as they attacked a school in Pakistan's Peshawar city on Tuesday.
In Australia's Sydey city, a 17-hour-long siege when a gunman had held 17 hostages at a cafe on Monday.
Three people, including the gunman, were later killed. The gunman was identified as Man Haron Monis.
