Telangana: BJP names new chief

Hyderabad/UNI: Karimnagar MP Bandhi Sanjay Kumar took over as the president of Telangana unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party at a function in the party office here on Sunday.

Several party leaders including Union Minister of State for Home G Kishan Reddy and the outgoing state president K Laxman and a large number of the party cadre attended the ceremony.

Speaking after taking over as the party chief, Sanjay Kumar said that the BJP was the only alternative to the ruling TRS in the state and exuded confidence that the BJP would wrest power in Telangana.
