New Delhi/UNI: A petition was filed in the Supreme Court, seeking direction to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), to file a status report in the death case of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

The PIL was filed by Puneet Kaur Dhanda and her husband Vineet Dhanda, a lawyer in SC.

The PIL also sought directions to the Central agency to complete its investigation in two months time and submit a report in the case.

The versatile actor was found dead at his Mumbai home on June 14.

In August, the apex court allowed CBI inquiry into the matter.
