Smriti Irani visits Amethi,, slams Rahul Gandhi

Amethi, July 19 (IBNS) Union Human Resource Development Minister Smriti Irani on Saturday slammed Rahul Gandhi and said the people of Amethi expected more from her than the Congress Vice-President.

“I am surprised how people here have such high expectations from me than from their MP," she told media.

She visited Amethi Lok Sabha constituency in Uttar Pradesh on Saturday.

Irani said it was 'unfortunate' that she was not elected to the Lower House of the Parliament from Amethi.

"It is unfortunate that I was not elected to the Lok Sabha from Amethi," Irani said.

Gandhi had defeated Irani in the Lok Sabha polls from Amethi.
