Seven including six cops injured after speedy truck hit police vehicle in Assam’s Nagaon

Guwahati/IBNS: At least seven people including six policemen were critically injured after a speedy truck hit a police vehicle in Assam’s Nagaon district in the wee hours of Wednesday.

The incident took place at Borghat area near Nagaon town, where a speedy truck hit the police vehicle from the backside.

Six policemen including a Sub-Inspector and the driver of the police vehicle were injured in the incident.

The truck reportedly fled from the area following the incident.

The injured people were immediately admitted at Nagaon civil hospital.

The injured persons have been identified as Sanjib Kumar Sinha, Nipu Dekaraja, Kalyan Dihingia, Rakesh Bordoloi, Prafulla Bora, Bakul Bordoloi and Bhula Kalita.

According to the reports, the police team was busy in patrolling duty during the accident.

Meanwhile, two injured policemen have been referred to Guwahati Medical College hospital.
