Senior TRS leader Vivekanand joins Bharatiya Janata Party

New Delhi, Aug 9 (UNI) Former MP and senior Telangana Rashtra Samithi leader G Vivekanand joined Bharatiya Janata Party on Friday in presence of Union Minister of State for Home G Kishan Reddy and BJP Telangana chief K Laxman.

Vivekanand was a Member of Parliament in the 15th Lok Sabha and represented Peddapalli parliamentary constituency.


The development comes after BJP central leadership asserted in July that the saffron outfit will expand its base in the state.


In fact, BJP chief and Home Minister Amit Shah also visited the state and interacted with party workers, urging them to expand party's base and reach out to all sections of the people
