Rose Valley agent Amit Banerjee sent to ED custody

Kolkata, Jun 20 (IBNS): The Kolkata court on Saturday sent ponzi firm Rose Valley's agent Amit Banerjee to the Enforcement Directorate (ED) custody for five days.

After almost four hours of questioning, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Friday arrested Amit Banerjee, reports said.

After receiving summon from the ED, Banerjee had visited ED office at CGO Complex in Kolkata's Salt Lake area on Friday noon.

The ED produced him to a court on Saturday and appealed for ED custody.

Banerjee’s lawyers demanded for their client’s bail.

After listening to both the sides, judge Gopal Chandra Karmakar rejected his bail and sent him to ED custody for five days.

Amit Banerjee will be produced in the court again on June 24.

The ED arrested the chairman of Rose Valley Group of Companies Gautam Kundu earlier on Mar 25.
