Rape accused man garlanded with shoes, paraded in Assam’s Kathiatoli

Guwahati, Sep 21 (IBNS): A rape accused man was thrashed, garlanded with shoes and paraded for allegedly raped his own niece in Assam’s Nagaon district on Saturday.

The incident took place at Kathiatoli area in Nagaon district where a group of women thrashed the accused person named Babla Nayak and garlanded with shoes and paraded him.

According to the reports, the accused person allegedly raped his 14-year-old own niece, while she went to his house to collect a gamosa.

When the victim minor girl narrated the incident to her family members, some locals had thrashed the man.

A local woman said the victim is his own niece.

“When she went to his house to collect a gamosa, he was alone in home and told her that, he felt some problems because of high blood pressure and requested her to serve him some foods. When she entered into another room, he allegedly raped her,” the local woman said.

Later, locals handed over him to Kathiatoli police station.
