Rahul tweets Army dog squad image performing yoga, captions it 'New India'

New Delhi, Jun 21 (IBNS): Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Friday triggered a controversy by tweeting images of the dog squad of the Indian Army performing yoga and captioning it as "New India."

The tweet was made apparently to take a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi on International Yoga Day.

The images posted by him showed the Army dog unit and their trainers prostrating.

Rahul's post received flak from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) who alleged the Congress chief of mocking the Indian Army "again" and spreading negativity.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah tweeted: "Congress stands for negativity.
Today, their negativity was seen in their clear support to the medieval practice of Triple Talaq. Now, they mock Yoga Day and insult our forces (yet again!)
Hoping the spirit of positivity will prevail. It can help overcome toughest challenges."

Besides BJP, several netizens also trolled Gandhi for posting such images.
