Rahul Gandhi to file nomination from Kerala's Wayanad today

| @indiablooms | Apr 04, 2019, at 10:57 am

Bengaluru, Apr 4 (IBNS): Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Thursday will file his nomination from the Wayanad constituency of Kerala.

Wayanad is the second seat from where Gandhi is contesting the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.

Gandhi's decision to fight polls from Wayanad received sharp criticism from the Left, which is the ruling party of Kerala.

The Left and Congress usually maintain a cordial relationship at the national level.

However, the Congress chief stated he wanted to send a message to the people of south India who feels "hostile" under the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government at the Centre.

Gandhi will also fight from Uttar Pradesh's Amethi, which is the bastion of Congress party.

The Congress supremo is the sitting MP of Amethi.
