Puduchery Crime: Man stabs house owner to death

Puducherry, Aug 4 (UNI)A man allegedly stabbed his house owner to death in a dispute over the payment of house rent at Airport road here, police said on Tuesday.

According to police, Arun(25) employed in a chicken shop in the Grand Bazaar, was living in a house owned by one Purushothaman. Owing to the lockdown, Arun had a problem in giving the house rent which led to a fight between the two on Monday evening.

Meanwhile, last evening Purushothaman blocked the drinking water to Arun’s house. A livid Arun then stabbed Purushothaman on his stomach.

Purushothaman who was rushed to the government general hospital succumbed to his injuries.

Gorimedu police registered a case and arrested Arun.
