President Pranab Mukherjee mourns loss of lives in Punjab gas leak
An ammonia gas leak from a tanker left more than 100 others hospitalised.
In a message to Ram Naik, the Governor of Uttar Pradesh, the President said, “I am saddened to learn about the road accident in Uttar Pradesh's Etah district in which a number of people lost their lives. "
"I call upon the State Government and other agencies to provide all possible aid to the bereaved families who have lost their near and dear ones," he said,
President Mukherjee said: "Please convey my heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased”.
