President inaugurates new Motor Garage in President's Estate

New Delhi, Feb 6 (IBNS) President of India Pranab Mukherjee on Friday inaugurated a new Motor Garage and Stores for official vehicles of the Rashtrapati Bhavan in the President’s Estate.

Seventy cars can be parked in basement while 8 cars of President’s fleet will have parking space on the ground floor of the new Garage and Stores which has been constructed as per the Comprehensive Conservation and Management Plan of President’s Estate prepared by INTACH.

"The project has been built in accordance with universal ‘Green Building’ norms and consists of basement and ground floor," the President's Secretariat said in a statement.

It has a dedicated oil and grease separator plant for cleaning water before discharging to the Sewage Treatment Plant.
