Police seize Rs 70 lakh cash in guest house

Ongole, Apr 3 (UNI) Police has seized Rs 70 lakh cash in a private guest house, located at Prasad Nagar village in Vetapalem Mandal in Prakasam district on Wednesday.

Police said, on a tip off, a police team led by Chirala Rural Circle Inspector B Prasad conducted a raid on the guest house and found Rs.70 lakh cash concealed in the steel almirah.


The guest house manager failed to produce any relevant documents on why they had kept such a huge amount of money.


Police seized the cash and handed over to the Income Tax officials.
