PM Narendra Modi ‘chowkidar’ of few select industrialists: Rahul

| @indiablooms | Apr 20, 2019, at 05:37 pm

Supaul, Apr 20 (UNI) Congress president Rahul Gandhi today accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of being ‘chowkidar’ of few select industrialists including Anil Ambani and so common people had made up their mind to remove him (Modi) from duty.

Addressing an election meeting in favour of Congress candidate Ranjeet Ranjan here, Gandhi said PM Modi always claimed that he was ‘chwokidar’ of the country but he was really ‘chowkidar’ of few select industrialist like Anil Ambani.

Modi would not become Prime Minister despite his best attempts as people of the country would not allow him to re-occupy the top post. He said when irregularities in Rafael deal would be probed, both Modi and Ambani would be in jail.

Leader of Opposition in Bihar Assembly and senior RJD leader Tejaswi Yadav created a flutter in the political circle by not attending Gandhi`s meeting. No other senior RJD leader was also present in the meeting as RJD was opposed to candidature of Ranjan, wife of sitting MP from Madhepura Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav.

Tejaswi Yadav had also opposed induction of Pappu Yadav into grand alliance as the latter who had won the last Lok Sabha election from Madhepura on RJD ticket had raised banner of revolt against RJD chief Lalu Prasad on the issue of succession in the party.

Rashtriya Lok Samata Party (RSLP) chief Upendra Kushwaha and Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) chief Jitan Ram Manjhi, however, shared the dais with Mr Gandhi in the meeting.

President of Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee (BPCC) Madan Mohan Jha, attributed the development as result of lack of coordination among those fixing schedule of star campaigners.

He firmly denied that Yadav intentionally abstained from the meeting while another senior Congress leader and working president of BPCC Kaukab Quadri said it was not possible for Yadav to remain present in all 40 seats of the state being contested by grand alliance.
